Should be a great game, but like Denny Green used to say, "There's two teams here that want to win. When that happens, only one team can win."

Actually, what Denny said was, "what we have here is two teams that want to win, and when you have two teams that want to win......well only one team can win. (Denny Green)
Do you feel da electwicity? (Michael Irvin)

Here is the game for Ford to step up for the Eagles. After letting in 7 in last year's section finals to the skips, he should be thoroughly motivated to shut them down this time around. Eagles 4-1.

I gotta go with EP 4-2. Fords better than Glockner. EP d is better than Tonka's. EP forwards better than Tonka's. This in not always the case, as of this year, where the team with better players wins. Its the team that shows up that wins this year. I think EP will show up this game after that beating they took last year.

I saw EP play last night against Lv South. They moved the puck very well, especially in the neutral zone. EP pressured, pinched, and re-grouped at a high level throughout the game. Tonka’s high octane offense will give EP problems in the "D" zone. The game will end up 5-3 Tonka. Will be a fun game to watch!

I cannot say. I have not seen Wayzata play this year. If I was to guess, Wayzata is very good. They have always had a good program.

This is gonna be a great game. eden prarie has been a little slow in its past few games. tonka has looked strong in the past few especially walking into braemer and dismantling the hornets. But EP is at home so i'll take them 4-2 Rau has a big game

Ford has been average this year. Going into the game, there is no advantage in the goalie position. bb's advance scouting report:
Forwards - slight advantage Ep
Defense - advantage Ep
Goaltending - even
PP - advantage Ep
PK - advantage Tonka
Home Ice - Ep
Ep - 4
Tonka - 2

Good work.
Another fun Lake game to watch on myfoxhockey. Hard to find much to critique in either team's performance. EP's defense probably made the difference--though Tonka's is great considering what they lost from last season's group, they have the occasional shaky moment.
EP took a mild gamble by shortening their bench starting in the middle of the 2nd, then going back to the 3rd line once they had the 2-goal lead. Had it not worked the top lines might have been a bit gassed when they'd be most needed (near the end of the game), but it paid off, and that makes the strategy look good. The veterans on their top lines have great stamina. Tonka rolled the 3 balanced lines all game, despite missing various players at various points of the game; their depth will take them far. Baskin also had a huge game for them.

With the exception of PP and PK, EP rolled 3 lines most of the game. I do think they double shifted the first two lines for the last couple minutes of the second. But I know for a fact that the 3rd line hit the ice in the last 3 minutes with the score 3-2 (granted it was a pretty short shift).

Yes, I saw them out there then, too. Just a bit surprised by the timing of the decision to double-shift. I thought it was smart of them to break out the 3rd line again late in the game.
