I founded The Wantasa Hockey Club in the early 80's. We started the club in order to compete with the tier 1 clubs in the Winnepeg leagues at that time. This was often refered to as spring hockey or summer hockey. We had some great kids from Mpls / St. Paul travel leagues. We never intended, nor did we, compete with MAHA. I'd like to hear from any "kids" (now in your late forties) who traveled with us.

Forgot to tell you, my son wears my Wantasa Sabre jerseys every now and then to practice. First year I went it was cotton, which has now faded and had a few holes even back in the day. Second year it was mesh, so that held up pretty well.
