Just watched the FL. highschool team get beat by WB in the new rink. What a great place that will be to have a tourny.[Go Forest Lake]

Is this the last big one before District play-offs? Could be a nice momentum builder for FL, before D2, go Rangers!!!

Burnsville is ranked in the top 5 on just about everybody's list this season. FL gave up two goals in the first couple of minutes and it looked like a possible blowout, but than they settled down and played a pretty good game. A little more puck movement and this team would be as good as any. Course, our goalie turning away almost forty shots always helps!! Very talented kid.

I would have said that Burnsville is nowhere near a top five team, but my son assures me that they are 8)

I saw D-dad & your neighbor, at the varsity/jv game they said it would be a hard road out of that pool! They were saying team plays up to the comp. should be fun weekend down there. I like the idea of having a bar connected to the rink...

Burnsville is playing without 2 of their top 3 scorers due to concussions. Their ONLY goalie came back from injury last night and was only at about 70%. They beat Minnetonka 8-3, tied Edina 1-1, and beat Roseville 7-2 without these 2 forwards.
Take nothing against a very well coached, gritty Forset Lake team, with a tough goalie. But I believe that Burnsville deserves their top 5 rankings in all of the polls.

I believe it too! My son knows a lot more about hockey than I do so I tend to listen to him. The look he gave me when I made that stupid comment was priceless. He also told me that the Burnsville goalie was injured and played a gutsy game. Sorry to hear about the concussions, hope they are back to health soon. You are right all the way around, we lucked out having these two guys step up and take on the team at the last minute. Great tournament, pretty good facility  though I need to not go next door  or I might never make it to the games. Anyone know what time they open on Saturday?
