With older players, obviously some 13-year-old Pee Wees could be affected by the rule even though they are older than what the powers that be were considering.

This is a stretch but if you check the rosters of Mn Hockey Peewee teams you will find that they are actually registered as:MN PEEWEE USAH BANTAM
So maybe since our Peewees are already registered as USAH Bantam maybe it would not apply. I doubt it would work because if it did we could allow checking and slap shots at the Squirt level since they are USAH PEEWEE. Interesting though.

MH just reviewed the age cut-off issue and voted to keep it the same at last summer's meeting.
I doubt it will be revisited this summer.

Given this new development, perhaps MN hockey will be encouraged to reconsider their decision. Look at it as additonal information that MH should consider, along with prior information on this issue. Moving the registration date seems even more logical.

So, with USA hockey doing birth years--are 97's first year bantams or are they 2nd year PW's?
