No love for the big red, eh? Can't blame ya, but love 'em or hate 'em, you can't dispute Centennial's place as one of the top five. I'd love to see my Duluth duke it out with Edina to see where that falls. I heard that NWC is getting their legs back and starting to play strong. Lots of good teams, lots of time until the big dance...

While I am not a fan of Centennial, I do believe they are a top five team. I have seen almost all of these teams this year, and most of them more then once, Centennial is a top 5 team.

The interesting thing about the top 10 or even 12 teams this year is that they can beat each other on a regular basis. Having said that, I think the top 10 teams will be changing places in the ranking often over the next couple of months.

The great thing is going to be the competition at the upcoming Duluth tournament and the regional tournaments, should be some great hockey!

I would agree that the top 10-12 teams in the state are all pretty good and could beat each other on any given night. Should be a fun Feb / March.

One's a consensus of humans subject to subjectivy (and objectivity) yet could be peaking at myhockeyrankings.com as part of their consensus contanminating their subjectivity (objectivity). The other is a computerized formula (an algorithm or sorts) which becomes more accurate over time where initially and even now it's abit flawed as it doesn't contain all scores and games.

So early on in the season, the Let's Play Hockey Rankings (human consensus) are usually MORE ACCURATE but starting about now, next week and over the next few weeks I'd say myhockeyrankings.com become easily more accurate as there's more data to support the ranking. Neither of course is perfect as could start a whole thread on this.

My hockey ratings should only be considered if all scores and games are logged. They aren't, they never will, and therefore it means nothing. LPH includes the human factor, which precludes it from being totally accurate, but probably pretty close. Again, all scores aren't included, and many teams aren't either. Take the "top twenty", throw 'em in a hat and pick ten. That's about as accurate as you'll get until March. Better yet, give all of the Cities teams with a better than 5oo win% a top 20 spot. Everyone else isn't worth a a pinch of monkey poo anyway- especially the northern teams. In fact, let's just crown Centennial 12UA the greatest hockey team in the history of the universe, infinity, and move onto what really matters- like Bandy ratings or greatest hockey mullet of all time...

Why is everyone putting Duluth in the top 10? Who have they beat? PL it looks like you have drank too much HARD WATER in your days. Beat someone with a winning record then you can throw some input on here. Get a clue.
