Funny, after Stillwater and Eden Prairie bailed out on this tournament a few years ago to join the shinier and much more fashionable Schwan's Cup, the Kaposia looks like it is hosting arguably the 4 best teams in the state next weekend in dowdy old South St. Paul. And the girls' portion of the Schwan's is dead and buried.

Actually to be fair, Eden Prairie started there own tournament, and I believe Stillwater left to join the highly coveted Edina Tournament, that was originally hosted at Minnesota Made. But I did get your point...
Another point that needs to be made is: even though the big teams are coming to the Kaposia, some of the states top players won't be there; I know 2 of Warroads and 1 of Roseville's will be competing in Sweden for the US National team during the tournament.

My opinion only so please take it for what it’s worth…but If I were Stillwater I would want to get away from Roseville…err the Kaposia too. Not that they feared them but …please 2-3 games a year is more then enough, right... only makes sense.

Stillwater actually participates in the Eden Prairie Tournament, which they won last year.

Stillwater left the Schwann cup tournament to play in the Kaposia not the other way around. It doesn't make sense for Roseville and Stillwater to be in the same tournament and play each other as they already play each twice in conference and possibly again in sections.

This just in: Rachel Ramsey will be participating in the 'grown-ups' USA Holiday camp, so she will be missing as well.

This is the page on Hockey Hub where all the holiday tournament info is in one place.
Apologies since I didn't know that the Schwan's Cup for girls is still going strong, with 4 divisions.
