4 starters (2 forwards, defensemen, and goalie) are gone. No one has stepped up to fill that void. Last year's goalie, Wohlers kept them in the big time games (Hill and STT).

Team is rather small except for #12. Small and fast worked for them last year, but they also knew how to light the lamp.

Is this the same group of boys that beat WBL & took Roseville & Stillwater to the wire in A bantams?

I think the A Bantam team had better coaching.

Mahtomedi graduated two 38-goal scorers -Zurn & Adams - and lost Ben Marshall a year early. Marshall had 20 goals and 39 assists. Sr. Goalie Brad Wohlers was outstanding in the big games last year. Coach Poeschl's has to rebuild. He will. I really like how well his teams have played the past few years. He's knocked off very good STA teams in the past two section finals.

They do still have some good players from last year and some nice new talent. There is a lot of season left and I hope they can turn it around and finish strong..
