Another Guess:
N = EP
S = Elk River
E = Wayzata
W = OSMG
I do think Forest Lake will suprise some with their play.
Semi's = ER over EP
Semi's = Wayzata over OSMG
Wayzata wins it all OSMG takes 3rd

Good thing they have top talented teams, helps offset some of the officiating (not all the way). Seeing refs make up calls because they are mad at benches, get in the way of break out passes and hit by pucks on the fly, etc.
No wonder a lot D6 teams have good power plays, there is always a team short handed in the games they officiate. Maybe that is the new conspiracy theory.
Great teams to see if they let them play.

The OMG vs. Edina must have been something to see. OMG gets 6 goals on 14 shots and beats Edina 6-2. That's gonna mess up the predictions.

North DIV Winner:
EP
South DIV Winner: Roseau
Elk River after their 8-3 win over Roseau
East DIV Winner:
Wayzata
West DIV Winner: Edina
Osseo Maple Grove after their 6-2 win over Edina
Semi North vs South : Roseau
Semi East Vs West : Edina This could still come true at Consy, which will have Roseau vs. Forest Lake and Lakeville North vs. Edina
Champ: Edina
I predict that Elk River will handle EP, and Osseo Maple Grove will advance past Wayzata for an
Elk River vs. OMG for the championship. I haven't saw OMG skate but I think Elk River has the fire power to win it. we'll see.

Wayzata wins it all in triple OT over ER.
After being disappointed how the games were called early on in the tournament, have to give them credit, seemed Sat afternoon and Sunday good officiating letting the kids play by the rules but decide the games.
Gave them a hard time early, so figured should give them kudos now.
Need a nap after that weekend. Anyone got some turkey?

Yes, I agree totally about the refs. They final were letting them play during Sat & Sun. Hats off to Wayzata for winning that battle with a very, very good ER team.
Both semi finals were well fought and very close games too... EP & ER was a great game (4-3 ER). ER jumped on EP hard in the 1st period, but things settled down and it was a great back and forth game. And from what I saw with Wayzata & OMG that was a great battle too. (2-1 Way)
EP and OMG was a very good game as well for 3rd place. (3-2 EP). OMG has some big kids.....

Totally agree on refs. Always fear District 6 tournaments because of reffing. I felt the reffing this weekend was perfect. Generally made the calls they should, but let the Bantam As be physical. HATS OFF.

I had a chance to watch all of the semi-finals and championship game yesterday and I thought the 4 strongest teams emerged out of pool play. This was my first glimpse at the OMG squad and I thought they really took over the Wayzata game once they started to use there size but couldn't find the back of the net. Wayzata has a nice squad and will get stronger throughout the year. Should be a good battle in District 3 between those two teams.
Congrat's to EP for hosting a very good tournament.

Did the Rams head home after beating the Rangers? The web shows the Rams winning but Rangers in the Championship game.

Three team race my friend. Mpls-Park is currently in first place in D3 and beat Wayzata in their first meeting. Only 2 berths to regions this year from D3 so one of these three outstanding teams will be staying home after the season ending D3 Bantam A Tourney.

I think that is a mis-print on the website. I saw both teams warming up. Roso' and the Edina squad. I didn't see the game, but Roseau was playing.

I'll acknowledge that Mpls-Park or Park is a factor this year but D3 standings at Thanksgiving is not relevant. In my opinion, Wayzata and OMG will emerge out of the district playoffs just as they have the past several years. I may change that opinion if Park continues to develop and show consistency against top teams. You mention the Wayzata win...have they played OMG?
Elk River

I saw Elk River play Andover in their opening game in D10 play and they got it handed to them by Andover. They really didn't appear to be such a power. Would be interested to hear how they advanced through the EP bracket...

Not sure what happened in the Andover game, but every team has a tough night - Not too say Andover isn't strong, But Elk River played extremely dominate at times throughout the EP tourney and looked solid all the way through.
They are very balanced and very good. I think everyone knows that they lost to your team by now, I don't think I would gloat too much until you can "hand it to them again". My bets are in Elk River in the rematch - No offense.

Excuse me, but St Louis Park is 3-1-0 ... who was that one loss to???

Sorry off topic.
