State of the Mnjhl

Talking to some of the players on the Ice Hawks team this year, it sounds like there is a very realistic chance that they move up to the NAHL next year and still remain in Rochester. They will still host the Tier III tournament however. I was wondering, what does this do to the mnjhl losing 2 teams in 3 years and one of them being their best team. Does it try and look for more teams or will it dissolve and no longer be a league anymore?

Would more fans come out if they were a NAHL team? They have a good gig now, why ruin it?

I think they're looking for more talent than they got now. But you're right. Why ruin it now?

I dont think the hawks would have agreed to host nationals if they didn't intend on staying in the league for these two seasons. The MJ will be just fine, there are many groups currently interested in owning a team in this league.
If the league needed to right now, they would have no problem finding 2 new owners to replace the stangs and the hawks. The stangs were almost sold this summer to a group in spring lake park, but the league rejected the proposal.
