The Ice Cats beat the Blades 2 to 0 in U14. It was a good game the Blades came out early and had some good chances. The Ice Cats got rolling in the middle of the second and had the majority of the chances from that point on.

If the LS Stars are solid this will be a good pool top to bottom.

Jr badgers-minor beat the Lake Superior Stars 4-2
Both teams played well. Stars probably out shot them 3-1, but the Badgers goalie played a solid game.

I thought the Ice Cats were the top team this weekend, even thought they could not get past the Jr Badgers...
Somewhat disapointed in the LS Stars going 1-4 for the tourney, from a team that has all the girls back but one from last years 10-4-1 record.
Hopefully better luck at the Pepsi Cup in June!

I think the Stars may have been short a top player this weekend. From games last year I think she was a difference maker for them.

Flying Warrior,

Hard to debate the Jr Badgers 96's as the top team. They beat the Ice Cats 3 times in the last 7 days. Twice in the Tournament and once in a jamboree the weekend before. They definitely rode a good goal tender, but I also heard they we're very banged up in several positions and that one of their best players was out with injury.

from what I was able to see, the LS Stars are the best 1-4 team around and they will get it together and give all these teams a run for their money in future tournaments.

Would be a great debate over on the Wisconsin forum. Nice team but not really a Minnesota one.

I was going to post the 12s too but the results are confusing on the Tourney site. The 14U Maroon championship score is not posted yet. Can someone translate and post what happened at 12U and the 14 Maroon final score?

12U Championship
Reebok 8
WI Jr Jets 1

As for the results being too confusing, you're not alone on that. The seeding after pool play made no sense. On Saturday they had pool b winner as Skate to Excellence with a 2-1-0 record ahead of the WI Jr Jets with a 2-0-1 record (they finally fixed that one after people from multiple teams questioned it). The WI Jr Badgers Major got the 7 seed with a 2-1 record and played the 6 seed Ice Cougars who had a 1-1-1 record.
