Thrilled to see this League is continuing, my daughter had a great 3 year experience and we met a lot of great Canadian friends! Hope others who are the drivers in summer hockey with daughters at the front end of HS get involved and keep the program going along with other like minded leaders in CDN.

As noted they defeated Can-Am 6-1 on Friday. On Saturday, they defeated the Winnipeg Royals 7-3 and the Pembina Valley Ice Cats 3-2. In a VERY early Sunday AM game, the Crush knocked off the Manitoba Maple Leafs 4-3 and knocked off Can-Am for the second time in 3 days by a 3-1 score.

Nice job Crush - Going 5-0 this weekend again! 10-0 on the 2 nations season so far.

Beside the above mentioned victories:

Wins over the Capitals this morning 1-0 and the 2nd defeat of the Manitoba Maple Leafs ( formerly the Reeses Peices, who have 4 D1 college sophomores on that team) 5-4 this afternoon...

Alot of the players are playing great, but I think the nod has to go Maddie Dahl, who has played nothing short of outstanding in the nets.....

Are there just two Minnesota teams in the League this year?

Orange Crush in Platinum (HS)
Icecats in Gold (14U)

The CanAm team has a few Minnesota girls playing. Manitoba teams have 1 or 2 MN girls playing as well. Northern Starzz are mostly Roseau and Warroad.

Here is a breakdown by age of the teams in the Platinum Division

The first number is the number of girla that have graduated from high school, the second number is the number of seniors, the third is juniors, the fourth are sophmores, the fifth are freshmen. The Composite line is a straight average of the teams (rounded up or down). This is taken from the roosters in the program of the Moorhead touramentsent that was sent to me.

Capitols 2 12 4 1 0
Northern Starzz 5 5 9 2 0
Pembina Valley 8 8 0 1 0

This is great info. One correction though, the Orange Crush has 1 freshman player (2013.) Thanks! What great venue to provide some outstanding competition for these girls.

The Crush lineup consists of the following:

2009 graduates: 3 (Kuhbander, Anderson, Hennessey)

Seniors - Class of 2010: 2 (C. LaCombe, Riggs)

Juniors - Class of 2011: 6 (A. LaCombe, Schmelze, Kremer, Kruse, McMahon, vonSteinbergs (though she may be a soph))

Sophomores - Class of 2012: 5 (Peluso, Phillippi, Jamar, Dahl, Willi)

Freshmen - Class of 2013: 1 (Roehl)

Kersten Calder did not play for the team this year.

I would also like to echo Superstar's comments regarding Maddie Dahl who has been nothing short of spectacular in the net for the Crush...and no I'm not her Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle or other relative:

In addition, all of the skaters have stepped at various times over the 10-game stretch and made plays that have kept the Crush in the game or allowed them to pull away down the stretch.

It's been interesting to watch the growth of the skaters and the team since their initial season last year.

Should be a great final weekend in Blaine...it'll be interesting to see how the Crush deals with being in front of the pack...as opposed to last year where they were the big underdog in their win over the Reece's Pieces in the quarterfinals.

Good luck to all the teams in both divisions.

Sorry for the confusion but since the 2009-2010 season is over, I considered the present seniors as "graduated since their high school hockey is finidhed. The numbers reflect what they will be this coming season.
