how does the sijhl work?

does the sijhl work just like us tier 2 leagues ( players dont have to play players fees, competition level, etc...), or does it work more like a very good tier 3 league?

Every team works a different way. Some teams have player fee's, some don't. Also, the competition level of the SIJHL is not all that much better than tier III. The Mustangs did beat Fort Williams this year, and Fort Williams won their league and played in the Dudley Hewitt.
It's good option to explore if you can't make an NAHL team but can't afford to play tier III. But be warned, not many players move on from the league. Here is a link from the Fort Frances Lakers alumni page.

for the fort frances lakers, you just have to pay the billets i believe. the top end players in the si are much better then the mj, players from this league have moved up to the manitoba league, the na, and a few even to the ushl, its a pretty decent league and it is better then the mnjhl
