Thanks oldgoalie85, I figured those 2 guys would make the cut. They are very good players.

Looks like a very solid team, Meirs Moore will make a big impact next year at the varsity level, another very talented Duluth East defenseman to add to the long list of immediate impact players for Randolph.

Size does matter…..a look at Central Scoutings top 10 goalies for this years NHL draft:

Calvin Pickard – 6’1”
Jack Campbell – 6’3”
Kent Simpson – 6’3”
Mark Visentin – 6’2”
Louis Domingue – 6’3”
Zane Gothberg – 6’1”
Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault – 6’6”
Sam Brittain – 6’3”
Cameron Lanigan – 6’2”
Tyler Bunz – 6’1”

Number 11-25 are all 6’1 to 6’3” with the exception of two 6 footers.

If the frame ain’t there you can stick a fork in any goalie to play at the USA Hockey, D1 (maybe a second tier D1 team would take the risk) or NHL.

Boston College goalie is small and has won 2 national titles in the last 3 yrs. Size is important, but there is still room for the smaller players.

B-Dog- How do you know he hasn't grown since 8th grade? He's 5'8" - 5"9". No, he's not going to be 6', but technique and speed does matter. Franke was invited to Strewlow USA goalie camp, made the National Camp last year, played 2 years Varsity with solid numbers against one of the top schedules in the state. We will see how this plays out next weekend.

Skoog replaced kid from Cloquet. Heard C.J. Franklyn played well. So did first line of kids from East. Did not see games all from parent that was there.
