Frank Mazzocco leaves FSN North

FSN has decided not to renew Frank's contract and have parted ways with the longtime gopher announcer. Anthony LaPanta will take Frank's role with Woog still be the analyst for Gopher hockey. Darby Hendrickson will join some broadcasts. FSN said they wanted to have an energized broadcast and that was the reason for letting Frank go. I think it's a good move. Next move for FSN, let Woog go.

I think the first move would have been to get rid of Woog since all he does is tell pointless stories and can't follow the game. Maybe move Frank into woogs spot and get rid of woog. I presonally liked frank.

Great news! Anthony works hard and will be a great asset to the broadcast. Now, only if the gophers were any good I could watch a whole game.

After talking to Frank at the X tonight he has stated that woog is gone for good to. Sad to see

Frank leaving the booth is sad for me. I have spent many hours over many years listening to Frank call Gopher games. Best wishes to Frank!

Sad to hear that Frank is going, I liked listening to him. The Wooger doesn't bring much, he should go.

tony lapanta is the most annoying announcer on fsn
