Clarification on Iron Range selections

While not singling out any one person who may not have deserved to be on the IR team, I must argue emphatically about the process. I may get some of what I'm responding to wrong, but I don't come here that often. So tonight I'm bored, and reading, and feel the need to put my two cents in; and most of what I'm about to say will be fact, not opinion. I must say that "mnhockeymn" (sic) is usually a voice of reason, when I do tune in. And in my opinion, people shouldn't single one player out who didn't belong. The process is flawed, it's that simple. You have coaches voting who have never, ever, seen some of these players. The Bugliosi kid definitely deserved to be there, and I need to say that, his coach did nominate him ahead of his son. And after the letters were out he, (the coach), tried to get Mr. Kern to put him in place of his own son, only to be told that Bugliosi was not next in line. Now, we've been discussing how he didn't get in there over one guy, and he's not the next alternate? Here is where the flaw comes in.
Some coach who has never seen Mr. Bugliosi, or Johnson either for that matter, has a right to vote. So he calls around and starts lobbying for one of his players to get in, as long as the guy he's talking to has a player he wants to be placed. "Lets make a deal." You vote for mine and I'll vote for yours. That is exactly what happened, except the Greenway coach had enough integrity not to deal, even though he had a couple of kids who could have been deserving, because he hadn't remembered the other guy's player. Others may not have taken this process as seriously, and the kid who got left out should not be forgotten, or overlooked. HE WAS DESERVING, w/o question. Instead he's hurt! Now that's just not the right way to operate when you're working with kids. And that is exactly how the section runner-up, only had two, (original), selections on the team.
