I don’t know about that but I am pleased to say that our mite numbers at Coon Rapids were up this year. Hopefully this trend will continue in the coming years. Maybe someday we will be a force to be reckoned with!

What were the Mite numbers and how many did you gain? It seems to me that as cities age and hockey numbers decline, you hit a "point of no return" where it's only a matter of time before the association dissolves (see any Mpls school, North Metro is headed there as well). Coon Rapids is far from North Metro but I know they didn't field an "A" team at the Squirt level this year which was not a good sign. Glad to hear you guys are getting more kids. Was it coincidence or was there something specific the association did to bring up the youth numbers?
