America's Showcase is being held in Pittsburgh, Pa.

These is to replace the Chicago Showcase ?

Anyone have any insight ?

I know Minnesota and Wisconsin are sending teams to Minnesota.....are they sending teams to Pittsburgh ?

It's my understanding that the 'powers that be' have been working on a more cost efficient alternative to the Chicago Showcase for a couple years now. I think this is a GREAT opportunity for those Minnesota seniors that don't have a college commitment yet. I was at the Chicago Showcase last year, and there were TONS of scouts from the NAHL, USHL, DIII, & DI. Since it's going to be taking place right around the same time as the Final 54s for the Advanced 16 & 17s, the timing is impeccable as there will already be lots of scouts in the area.

I heard some of the scouts in Chicago saying that the event had lost some clout over the years because of conflicts with other events - and this will solve that and give deserving seniors a good look.

Anyone know what other states are coming to Minnesota with Wisconsin ?
