A Quarterfinal: #1 Minnetonka v. Lakeville North
Posted: Sat Mar 06, 2010 11:36 am
by HShockeywatcher
The Minnetonka Skippers started their season a perfect 19-0 before a few stumbles, although no one expects them to stumble to a Lake Conference opponent, as they recently routed the Conference Champions 7-2. None the less, the game will be played.
After just 8 wins on the season, the Lakeville North Panthers won their 3 section games to represent 1AA at state. Despite their losses, their win and tie against an above average team like Bloomington Jefferson should give them confidence going into the game. If nothing else, they get the opportunity to play a team not many others have had the opportunity to.
Good luck to both teams

Tonka should dominate this game. However, you can never take any team for granted, nor a hot goalie. Moorhead had a huge upset over Edina last year.

as much as I would like to see North able to play with Minnetonka and stick with most of their game. I just dont think Lakeville has the skill to stick with the Skippers even North's sophmore goalie can stand on his head.
Skippers 8
Lakeville N 0

I will go as far to say that north wont get more than 10 shots on net
Tonka will show how weak 1aa is 9-0

After all that's been talked about 1AA the passed few weeks, they finally have a chance to prove themselves. I don't think they stand a chance in this game. Tonka 7-1.

If we played 'em 3000 times, they might win 2999, but not this game, not tonight.
4-3 Lakeville, winning goal from Eruzione.

With a 60 save effort, I'll take LN to win 1-0. Just wait and see.

Do you think LN's goalie can handle tonka's offense enough for that? He is going to be absolutely peppered.

I don't think Tonka will run up the score but they'll make darn sure that LN can't come back once they let off the throttle.
Unfortunately the 3rd Edina game wasn't that long ago. If this was a regular season game Glockner would be in nets.
Tonka 9-1
