RV vs. Edina

I was extremely impressed with the Raiders. The shot total may have not reflected it but they really dominated for the most part. I really wasn't sure what Slominski was doing by not starting Dahl, but even then RV was too much. A great team that I think kinda sticks out over the last five years, and how did they lose two games? One was to MV of all strange things. :)

The goalie that started for Edina is a finalist for the Ms. Goalie award so she can't be all that bad. Roseville lost both games to conference foes (Stillwater, Mounds View) They come out of the best conference in the state and toughest section the past few years.

RV was a very good team there D totally Smothered Edina kept them from getting inside Awesome job. Classy coach and great team play,

I also could not understand why Edina did not start Dahl if she was in and could have kept out those first three scores out in the first period, It probably could have given her team a boost. But RV is an aggressive and hard working team. Gotta give them credit.

Great job girls this wraps up another great year.

Roseville simply played a significantly better game in all zones and earned their championship!

Were there many Edina fans there because of boy's game?

I agree. Roseville played better. Congratulations to Roseville on a great season. In regards to Starmvp's comment. I believe the Edina attendance was affected significantly because of a boy's Sectional game and the annual Edina Pops concert.

Hey Nerd,

I guess Edina would have won by scoring 0 goals with Dahl in the nets?? :?

I felt Roseville dominated the game. Most of Edina's shots were from the blueline. Edina had a great season and was the 2nd best team in the state. Congrats to both.

Don't want to hear it Warroad fans. There would have been a way for your team to prove it. But you didn't step up like the little town next to you.

I want to congratulate Roseville on their dominant State Tournament win. The best team definitely won.

Just wanted to also point out that Section 4AA has produced the State Tournament champion three of the last four years ...

No I'm just saying losing 1-0 or 2-0 is better than 4-0. Dahl just seemed so poised in the Irondale game which is why I thought it odd for Slominski to go the other direction. I understand she alternates, but going with the most recent and hot goalie would have been my choice.
