Roseau won a double OT game that should've been played in Brainerd at home to make it to this game. Moorhead shut out a team that beat Roseau in OT to get to the final.
These two teams are 1-1 against each other, with Roseau winning the first meeting 4-1 on 12-15-09 and Moorhead winning the second 6-2 on 1-26-10. Both wins happened away.

I believe Thief River Falls once again. Other possible sites are St Cloud or Fargo.

I heard they have a coin flip between the 2 teams and the winner of the flip gets to pick between Thief River Falls, Fargo, or St. Cloud.

That was one option, but there will no longer be a coin flip. The two coaches and AD's will discuss and agree on a site. My feeling is it will be in TRF, but, if Moorhead gets their way it will be in Fargo at the UP Center.

Don't forget to put North Dakota behind Fargo. Friggen joke.

It will be played in TRF. I'm cheering for Roseau but it's going to be extremely difficult.
Prediction:
Moorhead 4
Roseau 2

Doesn't seem right to me, either.

Moorhead has scored a combined 22 goals in two section games, while roseau has been struggling. Im guessing moorhead wins 6-1

I wish warroad would opt up so this section would get more interesting. It's somewhat boring seeing the same two teams in the final year, after year, after year, after year, ...............

I agree completely too. I don't care that it would be just a short 15-20 minute drive over the Red River for us Spud fans to the game instead of about 2 1/2 hours to either TRF or St. Cloud. NO section title game should EVER be played in another state.

Spuds 4-1

Go with the most neutral sight .............. St. Cloud. Everyone can drive. If it is important that you be there, you will be there.
As for the game, Moorhead expands on their earlier winning score.

Most neutral site?? It is about 4.5-5.0 hours for Roseau to get to St. Cloud. It is about 2.75-3.0 for Moorhead to get there.
I think TRF would be the MOST neutral site. It takes Moorhead about 2 hours to get there and Roseau about 1.5 hours to get there. PLUS, you want fans to be there. This is more driveable for EVERYONE!

So nothing has been decided yet?
Having the game in St Cloud wouldn't make much sense, but if that is what is chosen, then so be it.....
Both teams have won section titles at TRF & St Cloud...So the location is not the number 1 factor. Be happy your in the game...The same could be said for both sides...Im pretty sure NO Section title has been won by the Spuds or Rams on home ice. Infact Roseau has won in Several locations (including...Home Ice of Section 8 teams) If your good enough to win, you will...
Please just let fans know early, so we can plan accordingly..

Completely assinine to make 2 northern teams (& fans) drive clear to STC when that gorgeous facility in TRF is available and of almost equal distance for all involved.

Now that's funny and very true! I think it's going to be a route. Moorhead 6 Rams 2.

Do we know for a fact that the game will be played in TRF?
It makes the most sense to play it there, but most things in life don't make sense. Being a Spud fan that lives in the Twin Cities that has to work on Wednesday, playing the game in St. Cloud would work out great for me. I have made the trip many times, but the Moorhead Hockey site still has no update as to the location of the game.
Should be a great game where ever it is played.
