Virginia won the first meeting at home, 18 days before this game will be played, and are coming off a 22-0 victory. Can they keep it rolling, or will the Hilltoppers pull off the upset?

I hope they win by that score, Virginia deserves to get beat.

I would like to see an upset here also, they embarrassed marshall earlier in the season, and i'm sure they want some revenge.

The only thing stopping Virginia is themselves if they show up to play they will be fine in this game.

Exactly! DM is going to be looking for revenge but Virginia can't afford to come out flat or with too much confidence.

The Devils humiliated Silverbay but can't go by that game for any momentum going into the Marshall game,Virginia's JV team would have beat them. Marshall will not roll over they will give the Devils a game,yes the Devils beat them earlier at their home ice.Will be a different game over on the Hibbing rink.

I am also not a fan of Private schools but I would like to see the upset here. I am not a big fan of a school that sends a 6 or 7 year old kid on the ice as a mascot to flick off the opposing teams fans. Shows some real class.

This one has me baffled... Virginia does not have a mascot, nor cheerleaders... Got your teams crossed up, maybe? Or perhaps the rumor mill is in full swing again...

The only thing I dislike more than private schools is when a team runs up the score and beats a lesser opponent 22-0. LETS GO MARSHALL!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to see Virginia knocked off, but DM has looked very average this year.

Devils to deep for Marshall Virginia wins 5-2

Puckranger, No not mixed up at all. The game was in virginia last year. Same game they had banners saying" hang the jackets" and whatever else they had. Kid may have been a little older but not to much older. I HAD respect for va untill that game. Thought it was always a good match up/ rivalary.

Marshall looked terrible when I saw them play Hill early this year, I'm gonna go with Virginia.

i cant agree more with bd fan last year some elderly virginia fans mistakenly sat in the student section and were made to stand so they could see their grandsons play they asked nicely for the students to sit down which did not happen !!!! on a side note the student section was not marked

hibbings student section has been in the same place for as long as i can remember. that must have been there first time there. how did they know that was virginia's side? dont think that was marked visitor

Hey rangehockeyfan thought this thread was Virginia Marshall not Jackets Devils.Don't let the fans spoil the rivals . Hibb - Virginia still one of the best rival IRC games around.
