Predictions? Two teams only met once this season and Century won the game 4-1.

I went to watch the century vs. jm game last night and was very impressed how century came out and played. I know century is a much better team than jm but this game could have went many directions with emotion being that it was a home and home game. Century totally obliterated jm from the beginning making jm look like a 2nd rate team. Shots were actually 53 to 14 . If Century can come out and play with this desire they will beat North handidly. But the emotion might not be there against North as it was against jm. More personal in last night's game.

Even though I would love to see Century pull this one off, I have to go with the team from the Lake conference. Even though they have 15 losses, they have suffered those losses to some tough teams. The last time Century played a team like the teams North plays day in day out, it was a 9-1 loss to South. Lets not forget how good North can be. They are 1-0-1 against Jefferson which is nothing to scoff at.

Very good point curtiscurve. I am not a Century fan or North fan but I tell you what Century looked awfully good last night and they took care of buisness. Should be a very good game at the very least.

if its possible to look awfully good against an awfully bad team then yes, I bet century did look good last night.. North is a below average team in the metro but since they are in section 1 they will probably make it to the finals like in past years.. The decline of southern MN hockey is astonishing to me!

Rickidy Cricket yea I know JM is not that good but if you read what I posted then you might just realize what I meant. Century's team could have taken JM lightly and this could have been a good game as the last one was a one goal game. Century jelled very nicely last night and did not make many mistakes at all. They did what they were supposed to and destroyed a bad team. If they come with the intensity they did last night Century will be just fine. And Rickidy Cricket if you know anything about hockey you would know that you can also look really bad against a really bad team which doesn't bold really well come section time. And I can tell you this Century beat North earlier in the season and it wasn't a fluke or bad timing. Century simply has more talented players than North but is not as deep on the bench team wise. It will be tough for North to shut down Anderson, Martini, and Kautz come this time of year. And the younger Kautz (goalie) is outstanding between the pipes.

Seeing both Jefferson and North play this year I am still trying to figure out how in the heck north went 1-0-1 against them. From what I have seen, Lakeville North is very weak in the defensive zone so if Century has some good forwards I think they could caush North some real trouble.

Prediction: 5-2 Century

Century 3-1

I think if Century's second and third lines can keep North off the board then I believe Century will win this game because their first line will score goals for them.

Century will win this one 4-1. The first meeting between these two, North actually outshot Century and maybe even slighly outplayed them. The difference was North's turnovers and Kautz's goaltending. Century is physical and has a home crowd advantage. Bruce F. gets these kids ready to play in games like this. Century's seniors and goaltending will be enough to win this one. This is North's best team in four years talent wise, but they are not prepared to win games against good teams. North did well against Jefferson due to poor goaltending and sloppy defense. North is a team that should have won 10,12 14 games.

Century's first shot on goal was when the Century player was driving to the net and the goalie came out and poked checked it away. They counted that as a shot. Didn't matter, but still.
