Waivers

I was asked this question and could not give a definite reply. The example I am giving will be the Spring Lake Park A Bantams. Since, this year they are fielding an A team which they havent done on a regular basis in the past and next year they decide not to field an A team can an A player (which is an A caliber player) from the 09-10 season be waivered out to play in a association for the 2010-11 season that does field an A team? What is the process? Does it differ from association to association or is the ruling the same across the board?

That would be a good question for the D10 Director.
I believe he has the final say on those matters.

From MN Hockey website based on revised participation rule:
4. Players waived for non-school attendance reasons shall be subject to the receiving association's policies in accordance with MH governing documents (e.g. may not be eligible for "A" team, may be assigned to lowest available team, etc.). They shall remain members of their Home Association, not the association they were waived into, with full rights and privileges accorded to all members of their Home Association, including voting rights.

Merge (co-op) with other D10 Associations who can’t or shouldn’t field an “A” Bantam Team
St. Francis or now Irondale are good options…
Princeton did it this year with Becker\Big Lake and they made District playoffs…
