I see FL plays in Cloquet tonight. Predictions? Does this game have any section meaning or is the order pretty much set? I know GR, Princeton, Cambridge-Isanti, and Cloquet all have records fairly close, however GR beat Cloquet and plays a tough schedule. CI beat Cloquet and split with Princeton, Princeton just got smoked by Denfeld. 1-5 should be set if you think St. Francis is as real as there record. Fl should have the 4 seed locked, will they even show up?

Cloquet always looks exponentially better at the close of the season.

Geez.. I just saw this thread, and I would have guessed maybe a 4-0, 4-1 FLAKE win, but this is ridiculous. FLake is hitting a big stride, and this is the team I felt has the best chance to pull an upset in sections.

I'm also surprised by this one; seems like a big step backwards for Cloquet after what they'd been doing in recent weeks. Though FTP has the shots at 41-38, so it seems the game was close in one aspect...can anyone who was in attendance comment?

Answering some of my own questions via hockeyhub summary...
Shots were indeed 41-38 Cloquet. What caused the lopsided score? Penalties, probably--Cloquet took 10, 9 in the first two periods. Flake went 4 of 7 on the PP. That combined with their inconsistent goaltending made this one a laugher.
Hard to say which Cloquet team will show up on a given night. And Flake should be given some credit too; they're sailing into sections on a high note and could cause more than a few problems.

Needless to say my jaw dropped when I picked up a Pioneer Press this afternoon and saw it said Cloquet won 8-0.... I thought Hockeyhub made errors!!!!!

The Star Tribune had the same score. At least they had a box score that was correct.

That Christian Gaffy may cause problems come sections. Not often you see 40+ save shutouts.
