You are correct in saying Cathedral is not a top 10 team, but I have to disagree with your Lourdes statement. They are 8-3-1 in their last 12 with two of those losses being a 2-1 loss to #1 Breck and a 5-3 loss to #2 STA, both of which were on the road. I would definatly put them above the teams you mentioned.

Cathdral beat both Sartell and Lourdes, and have only lost once in conference play to Delano; but have losses to Rogers, blown out by Breck and Hermantown. If anything i'd only move them back 2 or 3 spots.

And I've been to every Sartell home game but one. Look at their competition and you tell me they deserve to be higher than what i have them. They have one good win this season and that was against Virginia. Their 6 losses this year have been to Orono, Champlin Park, Sauk Rapids, Alex, Cathedral and Brainerd. Their good, but i wouldnt have them any higher than what they are.

Looking at Lourdes, they started off the season terribly, but have turned it on lately beating Denfeld, New Prague, Delano and Mound; losing only by one to Breck and two to STA. I'd keep them where I have them.

In the Mustang’s 15 games this year, 3 have given them a game. Of those 3, they won 2 and lost 1. The wins were by a total of 3 goals. Personally, I feel they will get exposed at state and if Hermantown or Warroad hadn’t had a couple bumps, they’d probably replace Breck here.

Overtime games with Cloquet and Denfeld? I’m not sure what that does to the 5A seedings, being that it’s so close to the end of the season.

OT win @ Denfeld? secures #1 in 5A for Hermantown (Denfeld goalie with 50 stops);

A bump @ Cloquet whose goalie made ~48-52 saves (well documented Cloquet has been playing good hockey as of late-the following Tues. D. East got out of town with a goal win). I see a 2-1 loss @ Andover and another 4-3 loss against Eden Prairie. Just to compare a few A games on Warroads schedule I see losses against E.Grand Forks, TRF and Grand Rapids- All teams Hermantown beat on the road-the A teams TRF 7-0 and EGF 9-3. Sure, I see single goal OT wins @ D. Marshall & Denfeld-conference rivalries but they were W's for Herm. not the single goal losses I see on Warroads schedule.

All 3 Hermantown losses were by a goal each-all to AA teams.

In 2 of Hermantowns 3 losses the opposing goalie had around 50 saves.

Maybe the recent "bump" you could be talking about is Hermantown missing their top D since the 1st period in the Bemidji game? I'd contribute it to running into hot goaltenders/bad luck with bounces which happens to all teams at times in a season. I don't see a one goal loss to an AA school as big as a 4 goal loss to an AA school with losses to A schools which the two teams you just moved in front of Hermantown have. But that's my opinion and that's why we have playoffs and a tourney otherwise this would be called NCAA Football.

Agreed. I've seen both teams and Hermantown is much better. They're much, much deeper and have better goaltending.

Alex is on a ten game win streak. They haven't proven a lot, but they did beat Cathedral, Bemidji, Sartell and Sauk-Rapids (although they played their senior goalie that game) in that span. Them being high is probably more a case of other teams falling as of late than them beating teams to get up there.

Sauk-Rapids is 10-3 in their last 13 games, the two losses with their better goalie by 1 goal each. No, I'm not from there or have any relation to anyone there, this is just a classic case of an underdog story, and a senior getting playing time because he's a senior. Seeing how good their younger goalie seems to be and the role they've been on, they seem to be the best candidate to upset Hermantown. Hopefully they win out and roll past Rogers to play Hermantown on neutral ice. We'll see; good luck.

Well on that then Rogers should be in the top 20 since they beat cathedral and tied Sartell and beat Orono twice the last time was this thursday in which Rogers was down 5 of their top players and held them to only 15 shots. More impressive is that Rogers killed off 5 pks in the first and only gave up 6 shots for the period.

Rogers also got demolished by Faribault. The score was only 5-2 but Faribault was in control the whole time and had a little bit of trouble burying. If Rogers is considered a force then Faribault should get moved up higher
