Reasonably priced AAA 2001 team forming in N.W. Suburbs

Is there any interest out there for an independent 2001 AAA team that is forming out in the St. Michael/Albertville, Buffalo, Monticello, Rogers area? The thought is to keep the ice hours around 35-40 at a deeply discounted rate at Monticello rink, and play 3-4 tournaments to keep the cost at about 1/3 or less the cost of most AAA teams (even with very nice home/away jersey's and socks for each player). Keep your eyes open for tryouts later this month at Monticello.

What is this program going to be named? How many players are currently on board and where are they from. Thanks

Also what tournaments will this team play in? Is it the monopoly? I know they seem to have the most players in that area. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for your reply.
Miken Cup

Hopefully the team (s) will be interested in a tournament right up the road in St. Cloud. The Miken Cup will have levels for the 1996, 97, and 98 in early June and the 99, 00, and 01-02 levels in late April at the National Hockey Center and the Mac. Two of the nicest rinks around!!!
Go to
www.northlandhockeygroup.com to register for the tournament if you are interested.

HD41 or I mean atg,
first thanks for consulting a dictionary this time! I did have the opportunity to see the Monopoly teams play at a couple of the younger levels last year, not sure what ages they have teams up to, and was impressed by them. If that makes me a fan i guess I am. If that is the case I am a fan of a lot of hockey teams/ programs.
What Impressed me most was how well they played the machine at the 00' level and how much fun they seemed to be having. Parents and kids seemed to be happy after a tough loss.
You sir seem to be a big fan of me. do you Enjoy The Show??

To put it in a way you can understand, NO. And i was in the building for what i was told was the only 2 times they played. In the first game they out shot the machine 31 to 17 according to the official I knew. I guess that would be playing them tough.
You've had 3 posts and all of them are about/to me. Why are you dodging the question. Are you a fan of me???
Please let the topic get back to what it was made for. I think the person that started this thread probably doesn't want us going back and forth about your in securities on here.

I agree... It seems that you let the BM thread get locked up by comments you make HD... Just because you want to promote MM and sneak on to every thread to Promote it as if you were BM himself.. is that the case? Or just an employee.... You seem to know a lot about many of the MM teams/ Records /antics around the rink for a guy with a 6'3"kid in the choice league..You don't want to believe anything that is said negative about the hallowed grounds of MM'...Let those MM threads stand on their own and let others try to get in on a promoting another AAA experience.or are you afraid of the competition.. The forum is big enough for everyone and everyone should have their spot to promote....
Did the Madame Dogeat dog1 Have it correct?:::::: Maybe she should go into full time fortuntelling?

You sir are a moron. I hope you don't have kids, you can't form sentences our write yet. That said, you aren't fooling anybody. you are obviously involved with MM in some way. I think its great that you know so much about me. What else can you tell me about myself? I am not that guy. Any other guesses?
Maybe you should start a new thread so the author of this thread can get back to his topic.
p.s. I haven't had the pleasure of wearing a suit in about 6 years, maybe I'll give it a whirl soon.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Wow....I saw 18 replies to my post and I was thinking, this is awesome!!!! Then I read some of them....oh well, sorry to start a mini war...that wasn't my intention.
I can tell you personally I've had some interaction with both Monopoly and MM and I have nothing negative to say about either. I think they are both great programs and if I could afford it, I would have my son play for either.
We're still nailing down tournaments...possibly the Caribou Cup...possibly The Meltdown....and there are a few others we are looking at. We will play in at least three to four with a Breezy tournament a possible fifth.
The biggest reason for this team (we're going to know on a sponsor and name later next week) is to get kids in the NW suburbs high quality/fun development at a very affordable price. Everyone involved will be volunteering their time and we are working out some very affordable ice with Monticello which is a huge savings for our players. We also understand that not all families can commit to 50-70 hours of ice because of time and money constraints so we are coming in a bit below that...probably in the 35 hour range.
We hope to have the tryouts posted on line and at the following arenas by next weekend:
Albertville arena, Rogers, Monticello, Buffalo, and Elk River. The tryout itself will be held at Monticello TBD....

one more thing....although we are going the affordable route, we are not skimping on our instructors or jerseys etc.
At this point we will have a former pro european player working with the kids along with a former division 1 All American player from Mankato State. We will also have a goalie coach coming in at times to work with our goalies who has played Juniors and is the only goalie in MN highschool hockey HISTORY to have 3 shutouts while winning the State Hockey Tournament.
So...the training will be good....just as reasonably priced as possible.

Sounds like a great opportunity. If I have any parents I work with looking for something I will send them your way. Best of luck!

How important to the kids and parents are the jerseys? I have seen some pretty nice (read expensive) jerseys' in the summer and thought that might be an area to reduce cost. I think a lot of teams have both home and away colors too.
