I catch quite a few D6 and D3 games and I think this listing is pretty accurate. Not sure of the name but OMG has a strong, skilled, center (#4) that evidently is a first year kid. How about goalies? There has to be a first year netminder emerging.

I would agree with the list but would add 2 others in the Edina program and one from the Park storm. Also the team from Apple Valley has a defencemen that is worth a look. Time will tell with the first years as playoffs are in the near future. And would like to add a kid from burnsville with great talent. Just watch the Blaze play you will see what number he is.
yea tyler sheehy

I heard that #7 and #14 from Burnsville are 1st years. If so they should be on the list.
Mpls Park

Where will Hale and Glover go to school next year? I know Iverson there teammate will be with his brother at Breck but I think he is only in 7th grade now.
Anyone?

That would be Nate Erickson. A nice 1st year tender i believe is on that OMG team too.

Zach Yon #10 from Roseau, is far and away the best first year bantam in the state this year! IMO it's not even close.

I agree with that and I haven't even seen him play this year. I know that sounds like a dumb comment, but based on his size and skills from last year's state Peewee tournament, he has to still be one of the best, if not THE best first year Bantam.

Not even close ? have you watched district 6 play this year? That kid is awesome player I agree but kids not even close is wayyyyyyyy wrong. At the bantam a level kids have different roles and it's not all about points. Watch in the next few years who the cream of the crop are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to burst your "Metro-centric" bubble, but I've seen most every bantam a team play this year and while I could be missing someone from some small town program that maybe doesn't get out and play so the kid lives in anonomity, but of the top 40-50 bantam a teams in the state of Minnesota, Z. Yon is hands down the best first year player this year. I agree there are a lot of good ones down here too, but this kid is phenominal! As far as roles go...this kid plays both ends of the ice, he is tenacious around the net and has as hard a shot as most high school players. On top of all that, he can dish it as well as he can bury it! I've watched him play 4 or 5 times. During the Edina tournament and up in Roseau...He is hands down the best first year player this season and yes, IMO...NOT EVEN CLOSE!
