I would flip flop Stillwater at 2, for NOW, with WBL, but I am not totally sold Tartan isn't ahead of WBL....
In some common opponents, WBL was throttled by St. Thomas and Tartan lost 7-5 and 5-2. tartan lost to H-M 3-0, while WBL lost 5-0 and 4-3. Both beat Rochester Century, and a tie to MV for Tartan and a loss for WBL. Tartan is 10-6-1, and the fact that WBL had players suspended is even more reason not to reward them ahead of Tartan.
So, at best, H-M, Stillwater, Tartan, WBL and MV.......

I guess I should have clarified...as of right now, this is how I see the final seedings coming out. I see WB beating Still again down the road & see Tartan with 3-4 more losses. NSP is a potential sleeper.

Sec conference game white bear beats stilly 4 2, section semis stilly beats white bear 3 1, section finals the pride of all the wannabe hockey fans and spectators(pioneers) go down 5 3 to the ponies of stillwater, state tourney birth for the ponies(a first) and the enrollement at hm drops by 1 or 2 a year for the foreseeable future

GFD, you can't put Still ahead of the Bears at this point in time. WBL is ahead of them in the standings, and they beat them head to head.
Now the Bears just need to make sure they get seeded #2 or #3. We don't want HM vs WBL in a semi-final game again like last year. It makes the final almost anti-climatic.

This is from Mn-scores.net. strength of schedule and opponents.
That WBL/Stillwater game will be huge. I see the winner at #2 andd loser at #4 due to NSP weaker schedule. Also big factor NSP/MV to finish the season for both.

When is the meeting to determine where the teams are seeded? I believe the seedings last year were determined the Saturday morning before NSP and Moundsview played their last game of the season. The results of NSP vs Moundsview won't matter if that is the case again this year.

I based my statement, because, according to Hockey Hub, Stillwater is 7-3-2 with 16 pts and WBL is 7-3-1 with 15 pts. WBL has a game in hand. I realize I am a journalism major, and not a math major, but last I checked, 16 pts is more than 15 points. I don't need to work in a bank to figure that out!!!
And Youngblood supports my rationale with the current rankings. They're close, no question.

Would love to see another Hill-WBL matchup and a HM-Stillwater matchup, or even a Stillwater-WBL, I just know these games will be the hardest played around the state. All three teams hate eachother.

Body... I apologize.. I was confusing THIS thread with the thread about Stillwater and CDH being the favorties for the SEC.

I was correct about the conference standings, but you are correct with the overall standings. However, I still seed Stillwater over WBL, because that's my opinion, and Stillwater is my favorite SEC team.

I think things are starting to solidify more after last night's games.
1). HM
2). WB
3). Tartan
4). Still
5). NSP
6). MV
7). Rose
8 ). Como
9). Saints
The only real potential movement could be Tartan & Stillwater. Those two could flip flop depending how they finish. Obviously, Tartan has the tougher schedule, but right now they are the higher seed and have a slight buffer. How this plays out is significant because of the first round match up with NSP....you definately don't wanna go down that path. The semi match up with either HM or WB shouldn't matter as I don't see a whole lot of difference between these two right now. WB is playing much better and HM is solid, but hasn't progressed as much as WB has. Should be interesting....as usual.
