Burnsville crushed St. Louis Park 7 to 4. Tyler Drussell scored three goals, Coleton Blake 2 goals, and 1 goal a piece for Brady Caviness and Chris Randell. Looks like SLP is just a pretender and not a contender.

WBL blanked Wessy's 3 - 0. Scoring for WBL was Nick Lorence, Sam Dolfay, and Neal Nelson. WBL controlled the entire game.

Wayzata over Stillwater 3 - 1. The best defenseman in the Metro League, Alex Higginbotham, started the scoring for Wayzata. Also scoring was Chris Lozoya and Cody Koenen.

At the end of two periods, Duluth was roughing up Lakeville 5 to 1.

Duluth 5

Duluth had to kill off way too many penalties - almost did them in.

Don't act like SLP didn't walk all over Burnsville early, because they did. SLP is yet to put a full game together after beating EP. Not to mention SLP outplayed fort frances, but lost with some unlucky bounces and a few bad calls. but that's hockey. Also Burnsville got worked by Fort frances. but in regards to SLP: when they come to play they can play with anyone. when they dont show up its not a pretty sight.

Gold Division
Fort Frances v. WBL
Shattuck v. Wayzata

Silver Division
Burnsville v. Wessy's
Duluth v. Moorhead

Bronze Division
SLP v. New Trier
Lakeville v. Stillwater

My predictions:

FF over WBL
Wayzata over Shattuck
Wayzata over FF for 'ship

B'ville over Wessy
Spuds over Duluth
B'ville for 5th

SLP over New Trier
Stillwater over Lakeville
Stillwater for 9th

Note to Stillwater: don't schedule this many games in the future in a short span. The kids (and parents) need some rest....

With all of the results this weekend, this puts wayzata firmly at #1.

Agreed. Wayzata should be #1 right now. Looks like a nice bounce back for EP in the Edina Tourney also.

As for the Blaze.......things may get very interesting in the coming days. Their top scorer was kicked off the team after the Wayzata tournament. He was a total cancer to this team on and off the ice with his attitude and unwillingness to be a team player. I'm hoping the team is able to pull together and pick up the scoring slack that will be left behind. A lot of times getting rid of a player like this helps in the long run. Let's hope that proves to be the case.

Congrats to Wayzata and WBL on a great tournament!

WOW!

EP played a very strong game against Tonka, but was badly outshot in the Brookings game.

More props need to go to Centennial than EP at the Edina tournament....

Wayzata is the most complete team i have seen all year. I would agree that Wayzata is the clear cut #1.
