GOLD - Edina (no Gardiner)
SILVER - Mahtomedi (B. Marshall did not play in season opener vs. breck)
BR0NZE - Orono (they got Jimmy Lee)
OPEN - "Little Laugh" (might as well throw in a "private")

Edina played Blaine even twice in shots and in score and puck possession. Tonka dominated shots and puck possession with Blaine but score was close due to Blaine's goalie.. Edina's goalie is not as good as Blaine's so in IMHO Tonka should be able to handle Edina...

Edina-from what i hear they have been looking good lately
Break-they are coming off a convincing win over a pretty good lakeville south team
Orno-they're just better
Northfield-they already beat the two best teams in the open division
Some great games here

Gold Edina - as much as they disgust me I'm picking them. They're playing great hockey and are up to the challenge of beating a Tonka minus Gardiner team.
Silver Breck - I think they are just plain better than Maht and would beat them 4 out of 5 games.
Bronze Rogers
Open Northfield

Who's Jimmy Lee? I've been to a couple games during the Schwanns cup and i've never seen him on the ice.

GOLD: Tonka, Even with Gardnier out they are still a very good team, they have good goaltending and Max Coatta is on a hot streak
Silver: Breck, They just handled a solid Lakeville South team without too much trouble
Bronze: Orono. dont know much about either team
Open: Northfied, they have already beaten the two other toughest team in the open bracket

Lets see if Coatta's Hot Streak had more to do with Gardiner doing the dirty work for him.

very true, should be interesting. But you got to admit that the kid can play, he is a freshmen playing on the first line on one of the best teams in the state

Wasn't for a championship, but the Duluth East/AHA match-up was fun to watch Wednesday.
Was pretty cool to see Trebil and Randolph and their staffs talking in the hallways of the Brooklyn Park Arena.
Just a couple important wins in those two guys careers, eh?
The Schwan Cup is a great chance to see a lot of teams in a couple days.
