I think its going to come down to New Ulm, Litch, and Hutch. I dont see marshall going far in the playoffs. Not as good as people think they are.

3A is likely playing for a chance to be the 8th seed in the single A tournament. With that being said, someone has to win and it may as well be your favorite team. In the end, at least they get a picture of themselves standing on the ice at the X. Good luck to all.

Hutch beat mahtomedi in the state tourney last year so we must be doing something right out here... Ill admit there is no STA out here or Warroad caliber but the top teams in this section can and will compete.

Good Point! So what was the breakdown of the Hutch and Litch game? Score ended up to be 4-1.

yep thats it... well shots were close anyway... i am autistic and have early onset alzheimers so whatever but close game shot wise anyway.... scoring chances may not have been close but who knows.... Sounds like a good hockey game.

Redwood defeats Marshall 3-2 and brings the Tigers back down to earth. This section is becoming very interesting to watch. If things keep going like this, most of the Section playoff games will be worth attending!

Marshall had an off night last night. They seemed like they couldn't get anything going. Redwood brought it to them in the first period but Marshall held off and came out of that period 1-0. Then things started to break down and Marshall seemed to slow down. Redwood got some lucky breaks and put the puck in the net twice in the second period ending 2-2. In the third Marshall brought it to Redwood but couldn't come out with a goal but held Redwood to one goal on one shot.

New Ulm- 3
Hutch- 2 (ot)
Great game by both teams! Goalies were very good. One cheesy goal for New Ulm, but otherwise great game by both teams. Hopefully a section final rematch again this year.

Where are all the teams playing over the holidays this year,
and what kind of competition will they run into?

Marshall i know of is playing in the schwans cup this year in the open brackett and they should run into some pretty good teams up there some teams are North Metro, Irondale, Minnehaha academy, Winnona, Burnsville, and others should be good competition for them.
