It appears that Edina had a good weekend up north:
Edina 8 Bemidji 0
Edina 3 TRF 1
Does anybody know what the outcome of the Edina/NWC was this past weekend (12/13)?

NWC won. 3-1 I think.

Yes they won. They won after Edina had played a game, bussed back home and then strapped on the skates again. Not taking anything from NWC but Edina was definitely not fresh.

They're 12 and 13 years old.....two games in a day and a relaxing bus ride shouldn't be that much of a factor. Sometimes sitting around all day and waiting can be worse. I'm not sayin...I'm just sayin....

Edina's problem is size. Too many small girls who are easy to get around. Some of them can skate, but there are 4-5 who are just okay. If you're going to be slow you should at least have a long reach. I was surprised at how small they were. They won't stand up against EP's much bigger defense.

Knights get real! Im sorry but when you play a game in Bemidji then bus home to a scrimmage I think that might take the gas out of any team. I know NWC is talented. I still say that EDINA was not fresh. Davinci I think NWC has 2 strong forwards on each of there 2 lines and there defense leaves a lot to be desired. Goalie is weak as well. The only reason you say they are solid top to bottom is because they scored a ton on you. Ask yourself this, how many times did you see passes back to D while in the O zone or see the defense start the play from there end. Edina is hiding a couple of skaters at wing and one at defense and yes there size is an issue. There goalie is a step up from NWC. This all irrelevant because EP is gonna win it all.

Yo end why don't you "end" the bull and excuses and state the truth. NWC is a great team and is in the top 3 for a reason!

rj when is it bull when stating fact. That is all I am doing. If you think NWC is so deep then fine, I don't. IMHO. I am sure if we look at score sheets from NWC we would see a ton of goals and assists from there forwards and very few points from there D. I have seen them play enough to know. Yes they are in the top runners but I would like to see them play Edina when Edina was fresh and ready. I guess what I am trying to say is I would not put much stock in a win over Edina in that condition.
there, their, they're

Is there anyone on this forum who knows which of these words to use when? Do your daughters know how illiterate you are?

End to End, what "facts" are you stating? It's pretty much all opinion on here so yours does not trump any other opinion posted...so take it for what it is....your opinion vs another. It will all shake out in the end..I would agree having PERSONALLY seen NWC, Edina, EP, Lakeville South, Centennial, Elk River, and Minnetonka that EP is the favorite no doubt. But...it's girls u12 hockey....anything can happen. Right now, all this stuff is just fun to speculate on anyway...the real stuff happens at regions and state. As the great leader Mike Tice once said.."Enjoy the Season!"

The only way Edina beats NWC or Eden Prairie is if they seriously shorten their bench or get some bigger kids. Surprised they haven't found a way to make those kids grow down in the Evil Empire. Last year their coach really shortened the bench in close games. The problem this year is they don't have that one dominant player up front.

According to
http://myhockeyrankings.com/view_2009_t ... _nbr=10742 , TRF has a 5-4-1 record (GF 28, GA 21). How does that warrant a top 10 ranking?
Can you report the missing season scores and results of the tournament?
TRF 3rd Place Game: Roseau 12, Detroit Lakes 0

Okay. I agree, far too early for that.
On another note, are you getting the results from all tournaments? I mean, is there someone helping you getting you "ALL" the results? Are you aware of missing any tournaments? It'd be nice if there was a spot where "ALL" results were posted and so far your the one.

www.myhockeyrankings.com is dependent on scores researched and reported by volunteers. Unfortunately, the game statistics there are only as good as the scores entered--and some teams/tournaments/districts report their scores on their web sites, some do not (D8, I'm talking about you.)
Here are TRF's self-reported scores from their web site (
http://www.trfaha.org/?page_id=5 ), as of this moment:
Girls 12U
11/01/09 at GF Angels won 7-1
11/29/09 vs Bemidji won 5-0
Roseau Tourney
12/04/09 vs Centennial lost 2-4
12/05/09 vs Warroad lost 3-4
12/05/09 vs Roseau tie 2-2
12/06/09 vs Lakeville lost 1-5
12/12/09 at Edina (In Bemidji) lost 1-3
12/13/09 at Bemidji won 3-0
12/13/09 at Warroad won 2-1
So, please review your favorite team(s) at
www.myhockeyrankings.com and please report any missing/incorrect scores. The new computerized rankings run every week on early Wednesday morning. The standings are only as good as the data they're based on--garbage in, garbage out.
