"2-1 Lourdes over New Prague.

Nick said it was a good game, lourdes scored with 5 or 6 minutes left."

I just got this on facebook from one of my great ex players Nick Bowe.

I think he may be helping out in New Prague now.

Nick is an assistant for the girls high school team.

As for the game, I only saw the third period, and it was a fun one to watch. Both teams had good pressure on and both goalies made some nice stops. Lourdes had a goal waved of with about 10 minutes left due to a high stick. I didn't see if it was a good call or not, but the players and bench didn't seen to argue the call too much.

Scores 12/15

you mean one upset? Winona would be the favorite against Albert Lea.

oh well than there was one upset.
Albert Lea a little down this year than.

But i don't think anyone expected Lourdes to lose to Northfield

Lourdes played their backup Goalie. Lourdes outshot Northfield.
Just not their night.

So if Lourdes would have played their #1 goalie, would it have been 0-0?

I saw that the shots were in favor of Lourdes, but the shots were 26-22.
And the "starting" goalie, Nick Heimer for Lourdes has struggled this year. and like Jackstraw said, if their goalie didnt give any goals up it would of been a 0-0 game. Northfield had a powerplay and shorthanded goal. And Lourdes was about 0-6 or 0-7 on the powerplay. It sure sounds like it was a good hard fought game. Hats off to Northfield
