Always seems to be a tough conference, There is always surprises, upsets, Thoughts? what do you know about the teams. There seems to be depth on some teams, others with maybe "one" very good line. any thoughts.

Woodbury should be the frontrunner, followed by Cretin, but WBL and Stillwater will have enough talent to upset anyone.

Shows what you know. What conference do you prefer grizz??
Woodbury - Returns 96% of the team, Leadership, Size and A pissed off team from last year. Goaltending and Filling Hebert and Pittman's spots are the ??? Solid team top to bottom.
Stillwater - Returns top scorers, Senior Heavy team, 4 Solid Goalies, Strong JV team last year. Defensive losses and Leadership are the ???
CDH - STrong 1st line will fill in with Great Athletes, Goaltending and Healthy Alt are the ????
WBL - 1 Strong line 2nd line of Seniors, Defense and Goaltending are ?? Lost lots from last year but most were unhappy which might help with Team Chemistry.
Roseville - Lost a great 1 st line and Both goalies I believe, JV wasn't much enough to be in the top half
Forest Lake - Energetic Group 3rd yr with coach Defensmen Fick leads D in points in Elite league, Goalies are the??? Need to learn how to not rely on the goalie this year, Moberg did a lot for them.
Mounds View - Bradley will have a good season but not much after that, JV was weak, not much in the nets.
Park - Lost Goalie and 4 Defensemen, nice group of seniors. Have a couple that will surprise teams.
Hastings - Gleinser was huge for them, they wil be rough and play tough but Nelson wont do it on his own.
East Ridge - When has a first year team ever done well? No Goaltending, No Seniors, No real Home Rink will take some lumps as teams look to boost stats on them.

The real problem is that it is so top heavy, and I think that this is definitely not the year to pick WBL by default.

I go by how they were as Bantams. What they have lost, gained and what I have seen around town over the summer.
So do you have 2 IDs on here grizz?? Daulton911 started the topic you added your points I gave what I thought. Nice banter here.
Agree with brandy38, WBL will disappoint. I think before you call SEC a weak conference you should go watch a few of the games. Very hard fought, every team plays hard, sure some are short on talent but upsets are common. You seriously cant put the Lake in as a powerhouse with 6 teams sub .500 records do you? Yeah you have the current State Champs but how often has that happened? How often do you see upsets in CSC? I believe one of the reasons some teams are often present at State is they are healthy when the Playoff season comes around. Beating teams 15-1, 10-0 doesn't take to much a toll on your team as a 2-2 tie or 4-3 OT win. SEC is a Physical conference, teams are beat up and wore down.
SEC is just like the Lake 4 Strong programs, 3 Average and 2 that have the potential to cause trouble and now SEC has an answer to Kennedy in East Ridge. I would still like to see a SEC/CSC Showdown as a mandated non conference game. Go by last years conference finish for seedings.

Pittman put up some offensive power but was always hot or cold. Herbert is skating with Woodbury this year or have you heard differently?

I believe herbert is playing for woodbury during the high school season.
The second comment is quite true.

Herbert is doing a before and after deal with Fairbanks...talked with some folks over there.
The "locker room problem graduated" is a really true statement. I know these guys are hungry to make up for the section loss to AV.
