Elite Girls HS League - National Invitational Tourney

If parents want to take young girls to see some great hockey for free here is a great opportunity this weekend.
The Upper Midwest Elite Girls HS League is in its second year (it is modeled and run by same people who have done Boys Elite League for 9 years) and has the top Jr & Sr HS players in MN (missing the best players in far N. MN) on three teams East, West and OutState and they play Shattuck over 5 weekends.
This weekend Two All Star Teams (made up from East, West and Outstate teams) play host to 4 top NA Teams at New Hope - Shattuck (MN), Balmoral Hall (WPG), Little Caesars (MI), Chicago Mission (IL) - you will see some of the best players in the country at the HS age level. The games will show top skating, puck movement and some great shooting all the things you can talk to a younger player about but best seen to be understood. You will see better play than any MN HS game due to the concentration of good players who are all the top players on their HS teams. Balmoral Hall is a top CDN team from Winnipeg and is a boarding school like Shattuck, the Chicago Mission features Kendal Coyne one of the top US players in the class of 2010 (she has been a part of the U18 US team since she was 15 and was invited to try out for Olympic Team for Vancouver) . Shattuck features Amanda Kessel (also a three year U18 player her brother is that Kessel who played at UM and now in NHL) - the other top player in class of 2010. Little Ceasars (MI) has 5 top D1 players and won the NAHA tournamnet 5-0 over the Ice Cats. So great weekend of Hockey at the two New Hope rinks hopefully a lot of people will turn out to see the best HS age hockey in the state (sorry yes better than the MN State HS tourney will be next Feb). Gate - Adults $6 Kids 4-17 $4 or weekend pass for $15. Kids wearing a MN Youth Assoc Jersey get in free (not sure if team jersey will be out for all Assoc yet but great idea).
