Is this Minnetonka's year to break through at the high school level, following up on 2 of the last 3 U14A State Championships?

I agree that they should be a good team, but the move to the new section will make for a tough road to state! They haven't shown they can beat Hopkins (who look to have a few good transfers), and BSM will be tough to beat as well. Should be one of the tougher sections in the state!blueblood wrote:Is this Minnetonka's year to break through at the high school level, following up on 2 of the last 3 U14A State Championships?

There are many exceptions to the transfer rules. It is my understanding that one girl is a junior, one is a sophomore and one is a freshman. I don't know if they will have to sit or not.observer wrote:Not sure "transfer" is the right word as a transfer, after 9th grade, would have to sit a season. Are you talking about incoming new, open enrolled, 9th graders?
What by offering a good program at a good school? Before anyone from Tonka throws that stone they should check the lineage of the the boys and girls starting goalies for the last two and next two seasons. Both are HYHA, so is BSM girls I believe. We moved to the Hopkins district a few years ago because after touring schools on the west side we really liked the principles we met at the Elem, Jr High, and High School here. After we got here we discovered we liked the HYHA and HS coaches a great dealas well. We have had some great athletes come to Hopkins but we also have held our own in one of the strongest conferences in the state in almost every sport with talent that came up in our youth programs.blueblood wrote:It sounds like the boys basketball coach is working with the girls hockey coach now in how to "bring in" the talent.
