Former Roseau Ram, current Fargo Force goalie, future St Cloud State Huskie and my cousin!, was voted goalie of the year in the USHL.

He is also the fourth ranked goalie in NHL central scouting

Almost 100% sure he is going SCSU next year. Then on to the NHL after a short period of time if he improves at this rate.

Tell your cousin to get on the four year plan because A) we need a consistant goalie. B) Goalies are a dime a dozen in the NHL, might as well stay in school and get the paper that will get him a job after the show.

Almost 100%?? So, would that be like 90% or even higher? But not 100%?

He will do what is best for him that is all I know, Ex: leaving Roseau his senior year to play in the USHL so he will be ready for the next level.

He should be a senior at Roseau right now, so he will go to SCSU next year

Pretty sure Coach Motzko and the NHL team that drafts him will have some input on where Mr. Lee will play next year.

dean blais promissed a national championship with lee in net for scsu...hell, i would settle for out first NCAA tourny win...scsu needs him bad next year, our goalies sucked.....also cant wait to see hanowski suit up...i think he will be able to step in and be a factor right away.

SCSU

Hanowski will not have much of an early impact in college. He floats too much (can be common in HS) and will need to first learn how to play both ends of the rink which will take him some time to accomplish. After that expect him to be a very good college prospect. He is going to a good program to fix that issue. Lee will be a nice addition.

The huskies will be very dangerous next year. Coaching staff is very excited about the guys and everyone gelled well this year. As long as next year's first years don't come in with hot heads, they will get along just fine and will be able to get some great chemistry from the get go. I nice goalie competition will occupy the mind of Motzko for a few weeks but I can see Lee taking the cake in the end if he stays on track with what he's done in Fargo. Reminds me alot of the way Kangas got into the gophers organization. WCHA will be fun next year!

Neither do I, but he'll be in Fargo with the USHL next season. We should get an idea of his capabilities then.

Yep. He'll be a freshman in 2010.

O ya, I had a brain fart and forgot he is a junior in HS this year.

No, he was a senior, he just needs some seasoning before he's ready for the WCHA. He could take some community college credits if he wanted to reduce his courseload once he gets to SCSU. That's a popular option for a lot of kids who are asked to join their college team at the age of 19 or 20. It makes the transition much easier. Also, I'm pretty sure Nick is an only child. He'll have both of his parents with him in Fargo for support. I've heard that Nick is not lacking in integrity, character, or work ethic, which is probably part of the reason why Motzko was willing to gamble on him at such a young age.

"The Exiled One" disagrees with you about Nick's team next year I think

As does coach Motzko. Oliver isn't ready yet. Big body needs some acclamation to a different speed and it wouldn't be wise to go and be put on the fourth line and or probably not even dress half the games. The team isn't in need of any first year all stars. His work ethic will take him a long ways but not to campus next year.

I wasent saying Oliver is coming in this coming year, I said Lee was or was implying it anyways, I compared Oliver to Marvin but never said he was coming in this coming year
