Centennial team includes several players who won the state championship as U12s two years ago. I expect that experience will bring it home again this year.

I have a question.

I heard that Roseau also plays a jv schedule, shouldn't they be one or the other?

My guess would be they play a 14uA leagues schedule and call the jv games scrimmages? Can anyone clarify?

Just to be clear I am not criticizing, just curious

MAHA allows 14U teams to play a certain number of JV teams each year. Since the high school team does not have a JV, some teams that do, do not want to schedule the Rams unless their JV can play also. The !4U has accomodated that a few times this year. For the most part, the JV's are poorer than most of the 14U teams that they play.

Not always true with the larger programs in the metro area.

Tough loss for the U14A Rams against Minnetonka in the state tournament....it was sad someone had to lose!

There are some good JV teams in the metro. One of the 14U's losses came in a 1 goal game against the Edina JV. Funny how the Roseau 14U beat Minnetonka's JV 6-0 and then lost a heartbreaker to their 14U in OT in the state championship game.

Minnetonka U14A

Some Minnetonka parents suspect the next stop for several of their U14A team will be straight to varsity which might explain Roseau's loss to their U14A team as well as their victory over their JV team.
