I have been to a few of these games and it is intense. I am not really sure other teams are ready to make the commitment these teams have made. They play three 17min stop periods, have Timeouts and overtimes. It takes up a good two hours of Ice. I believe they play a home and home with each team, including Duluth East and Rochester.old goalie85 wrote:who is in? how can other teams get involved?
The only thing they cannot do is play tag-up.Chuck Norris Fan wrote:I have been to a few of these games and it is intense. It looks to me like these programs are doing what it takes to keep their good players at the youth level and not moving on to HS. By setting up challenging games under HS game conditions it really gives no reason for a player to bolt to HS to play on the JV or third line. I have been really impressed with this over the last couple of years and would like to see more teams, districts, associations in general push for the longer games at the Bantam A level.
This is a great idea and should be done at the Pee Wee A level!!Chuck Norris Fan wrote:I have been to a few of these games and it is intense.
