Know this doesn't mean much, but congrats to the Wildcats of Dodge County as they got their very first ever section playoff win tonight over the JM Rockets. They will get right back to work on Thursday against Mayo. The score was 5-2. Congrats

It means something to all the kids from Dodge County that left it all on the ice. Congrats to them. Looks like rockets4 has a lot of work to do over the summer!

Thats what i was thinking.. Im guessing its Yetzer from what he told me this last summer about being so good, and then saying it on the forum and since his number is 4... and he plays for the rockets.

This is not the first playoff win for DC. They beat JM in this very same game last year. I believe they also won the play in game two years ago and played century in the quarters.

I thought JM won the game last year. Do you have a link to last years brackets?

According to the brackets Eagles makes every year DC beat JM 4-1 last year in the play-in game before losing to LS 12-0.

lakeville south beat dodge county 12-0 last year. still a good accomplishment as last year was their first playoff win and now for a second year in a row.

They have actually won a play-in game in every year they have been in section 1AA.

2008 #9 Dodge County beat #8 JM 4-1
2007 #8 Dodge County lost to #1 Century 6-2
2006 #7 Dodge County beat #10 Fairmont 8-1
2005 #6 Dodge County beat #11 Sleepy Eye 9-2
2004 #7 Dodge County beat #10 Luverne 6-2
That was their first playoff win

BTW, DC only had 2 seniors on the ice tonight, JM needs to get much better if they are to beat them next year contrary to what rocket4 thinks.

It appears that the DC sophmore class is more talented than the JM sophmore class.

I would advise #4 for JM to take some serious power skating classes and acquire a work ethic by next season. Yikes, this was a new low in JM hockey.
I realize that JM is not a talented team, but what was with the coaches continuing to play #9 on the blue line all of the 3rd period. He was awful and they had better 10th graders in #5 and #19 to fall back on. #9 from JM made mistake after mistake after mistake. I thought the JM coach was supposed to be some sort of brilliant hockey mind?

Congrats to the DC Wildcats on the win! They played two decent periods (1 and 3) and got the win. This sets up the first ever game of DC vs. Mayo on Thursday at Graham.

Let's add brushing up on spelling over the summer for #4 to the power skating classes.

DC is a yonug team with a great sophomore class (not Eden Prairie great, but solid, I should write). If the Wildcats can shut down Mayo's 1st line, which is a challenge, this should be much closer than last year's 12-0 loss vs. Lakeville South.

Last night was a big win for revenge if nothing else; JM beat them earlier this season by a goal.

Mayo 14 DC 3. That is if DC doesn't contain the BAT line.

let DC hang around and give them a goal, their crowd will be nuts.

No way, the game won't get into double digits regardless if the top line is contaned or not. If the top line for mayo is contained I think it will be 4 or 5 to 1. If they are not contained probably 6 or 7 to 1. Nothing in double digits though.

That would be a HUGE upset! It would be like U.S. defeating the Soviets in the 1980.

Soviets were one in the World.. Mayo is 52 in lastest ps2 rankings.
It would be more like Japan beating Germany.[/quote]
