#7 Anoka @ #2 Elk River - 7AA

The elks swept the regular season series but Anoka has been playing well lately except for the OT win over Cambridge.
Elk River has lost 2 in a row (Osseo & Champlin Park) which Anoka has beat both teams in the last 2 weeks.
Thoughts? Comments?

Ahem, beating Anoka doesn't just give them a pass into the final. Still another one to play before that and they'll have their hands full in that one.

Just going with the most likely scenario.
I agree that they still have to play the games though.

I saw GR @ Anoka. GR beat the crap out of them. ER nearly beat Cent until Cent decided to start playing a 3rd period.
I'm going ER big time. Is it the Return of the Empire? 7-2.

3-1 Elks in a tight one. This team is going into at least 7 years of great hockey.

This sums up my sentiments pretty well.
Anoka's been playing a little better of late, but needing OT to get past Cambridge in a play-in isn't exactly a winning formula. ER, meanwhile, just needs to get back on track after an ugly end to their regular season.
Elk River by 4.

I love it when both the team and the fans are over confident!!!
I bet they felt the same way before losing to Osseo & Champlin Park!!! Honestly how did this happen to a team that seemed to be peaking at the right time. Especially after beating both Blaine & Centennial.
I still like the Elks to win this game in what should be nothing more than a tune up for bigger games to come.
Elk River better have there "A" game or they'll be watching the remainder of the sections/tourney from home!!!
