Depending on seeding they might not get a chance at STA, and if they do knock them off I don't believe they have found anyway to beat South St. Paul. For the last two years it has been a one sided match up that is not in favor of the Zephs

STA is playing very well right now, in the past 6 games they have gone 5-1, out scoring opponents 37-4(37-1 if you count out the loss to Hill Murray). I doubt that Mahtomedi will be able to win this. As much as I want them to just so the CSC is extremely screwed up, I dont see it happening.

St. Thomas 5
Mahtomedi 1

STA has really stepped up thier game as of late!
If they continue this pace, it'll be hard for anyone to stop them.
The really took apart good SSP team last night, @ Homerville U.S.A. of all places! 8)

Very true about STA having a hard time winning at the rec. Although if you look at Mahtomedi's schedule they have been struggling at home also. Almost loosing to totino and blake (i believe mahtomedi had 4 goals in the last 6 or 7 minutes of that game to win 8-4) and loosing to richfield, and made a game out of a terrible North St. Paul team. I'd really like to see mahtomedi win this one, but STA is peaking right now and playing great.

STA 5
Mahtomedi 1

st thomas came out hard but maht scored with less than a minnute left in the first to make it 2 1 sta. secon was pretty even. third- sta scored making it 3 1, maht scored, sta answered 4 2 with probly 5 minutes left. maht scored. sta got a penaltl with 25 ticks lest 10 seconds later after 2 failed clearing attempts maht scored. ot was pretty back and forth. both teams had 4 shots a piece i believe. after the game i saw both maht players and sta players, the maht players were very happy and up beat, satisfied, the sta players were very dissapointed, angry. refs did a sub par job. sta started back up mcneely. fun game to watch. sta also had 0 syudents, maht had 2 full fan sections, really carried the team with all of their energy. with about 5 minutes remaining in third ben marshall appeared to hurt his leg, still played but had noticably less jump on that leg.

Mcneely for sta played a pretty good game had some nice saves the goals scored on him were good goals. the Maht goalie was shaky. Maht did a good job shutting down the first line of sta, and Maht's powerplay looked very good. great puck movment.

as for section title game i dont know how maht will do at a nuetral rink. theyre fans had the arena rocking and carried the team and if i recall i think ssp beat them 3 2 in ot in their last meeting- correct me if im wrong. no matter who is in that game though it should be a great game
