It says in the startribune that TG beat Benilde 4-3? How is this possible when everyone has been ripping on them for being a overrated class A team. Benilde is in the top 15 for class AA right?

I don't know much about Totino, but I saw them play against St. Thomas, and they got slaughtered in every way, shape, and form. I believe it was 10-0 in favor of St. Thomas who is not as strong as they have been in years past.

i totally agree, they are down, they lost to spring lake park 7-2 too but, Benilde? they spanked TG 5-0 last time they met. Benilde has been playing really well too. this just surprises me a lot. anybody at this game?

A little FYI on the st.thomas game TG did not have there starting goalie in that nigh he left school early because he was sick! I would say that is a pretty big metal let down before the game even started! TG will have another crack at st.thomas down the road it will be a much different out come. As for BSM i was at the game and TG looked unstopable in the frist two periods! DeLisle and olsen the goalie where the best on the ice! Watch out for TG EAGLES come section time! DeLisle For Mr. Hockey!!

Wasn't it 3-1 or something like that after 1 period? Sounds like it was slow start for Benilde.

I dont go to TG and I wasn't at the game, but TG is not a bad hockey team. Delisle is a great hockey player and UMD got a great recruit when they signed him. Olson is also a very talented goalie that keeps his team in games. Totino will be a very dangerous team come section time. They tied Breck and Roseau, beat Red Wing (another team that doesn't get a lot of respect) and had close games with Duluth Marshall and Mahtomedi. They have the right mix of players with a talented goalie and some big guns upfront where they can do some damage to teams in the playoffs.

Big guns upfront? Who?

Well you have Delisle a Mr. Hockey finalist. At Forward Billy Heck, Nik Colpitts and Eric Louiselle are doing well at forward. At Defense, Joe Novitzki, Mike Parnell, and Mike Parnell are all having decent years. I am just saying that I dont think this team is as overrated as everyone says they are. They are 16-6-2, and a team that has to be on your radar in the very strong section of 4a.

TG was lucky to beat to Red Wing. RW out shot TG 41 to 11

where did you get that stat sheet for the 41 to 11 shots? in the game vs red wing? because i would like to see an official score sheet from hat game with the shots.
TG is a good team when they play if they dont they are in the middle of the pack!

Actually TG won't get another shot at St. Thomas because they won't get past SLP in the first round of sections.

what makes you say that?
Tg is starting to play good hockey at the right time.....
when they lost to slp last month they didnt have olson start and slp played the best game they played all year just happen to be against them......
TG just did beat a top 10 team in AA but who cares right.... means nothing they just got lucky right?

does this mean that TG and BSM will tie for confrence champs? the reason i think this is because BSM plays two less games so if TG beats SF they best BSM can do is tie them in points and they split the series. Anyone know?

ok if you guys think that TG is so good why don't they move to AA. and i was at the benilde TG game and TG had a great forcheck going so benilde couldn't get the puck out.

What does this have to do with anything?

No BSM will still win asuming they beat Chisago Lakes and Copper. The reason they play two less games is that they aranged a deal with cooper and St. Francis to play only once and have the games be worth 4 points rather than 2. This allowed BSM to play 2 extra non-conference games.

TG is garbage... they almost lost to Chisago Lakes two time last year .... the first game was a legitimate win but the second one was complete BS... Dan Delisle ran over the chisago goaltender and the puck trickled after he had it covered. the puck went in with 7 seconds remaining

What does that make the team that loses to garbage?

TG is one all-star team that has not lived up to their advantage, I guess not enough all-stars!
