No. I'll agree that they have gotten a lot better as the season has progressed, but 2AA is just too deep a section. If they were in 3AA, I would say maybe, but they have no chance in 2AA.

They give up some weak goals. They could play someone tight but I don't think they have enough to make it through 2 tough games in that section. I don't think they are a top 15 or even 20 team like some people where ranking them in the ranking thread for the week. They would most likely be right on the outside of 20 if I went through everyone. I like there first line and the speed the others have good PP but I don't see them coming out of this section it's a rough one this year and will continue to be.

I'll give Burnsville the credit they deserve for playing well lately. I will also say that although I don't believe they could come out of this section, whoever plays them in the semis (Jefferson or Edina) probably won't be too excited to play them cuz they can be a solid contender if everything goes right.
But, if and when they play Edina or Jefferson, I just don't think they have the defense to stop the firepower on both teams. Also like it was mentioned earlier, they tend to give up some softies which will kill you when you play a Jefferson or Edina.

If they traded their defensemen with Jefferson, they might have an outside chance but I doubt it.

Seems like a pattern to me about Sturly quitting. He left (quit) Lake-North and now quit Burnsville. Sometimes in life when things don't go your way, you must work through them. Makes you a better person in the long run.

When was this? I know the last game he played was against Apple Valley but it's the first I have heard of it.

Schlink played last night against Eastview and Burnsville had a #35 (not on the printed roster) backing up on the bench. Sturlaugson was no where in sight.

yup he quit on friday or saturday last week. Schlink is the new starter and Bohdi engum #35 is the backup.

To bad. Kids need to learn that you can't quit and run and hide from your problems. This kid needs a long look in the mirror to see what his problems really are. They aren't the coach or teammates.

From the sounds of it the other goalie has been playing better. Everyone has a chance once sections start. It all comes down to being able to step up big in a couple of games and a dash of luck. With Edina, Jefferson and Holy Angels in this section it won't be easy but I wouldn't say that they have "no chance" just because they lost Sturlagson.

I do also agree that they have improved but they will NOT be able to win section 2AA. With Jefferson AHA and Edina?? It would be the miracle on ice 2009.
