I added the date and location to the subject line so people know when and where the game is going to be played. I also added a poll option.

Toppers by two.

Will be an interesting game. I expect Messina to have a very good game against his old team, but ill take the toppers 3-2

Daaaaaa Hunters by a goal. Messina should be solid and Denfeld is fresh off a thumping over Cloquet. The Hunters need to squeak out a win here to get some momentum going for Hermantown next Tuesday.

this one worries me, the toppers only beat central 5-2, and Messina is playing against his old squad, and Mauslof is back but will he be ready to step in right away after a long layoff. I'm gonna say topppers by 1, i mean if even Lee thinks they're gonna win, then they must have a pretty good shot

denfeld by 3

hunters 4
toppers 1

Mausolf wont see much ice. Messina with 20 saves. Paul with 24 saves. If denfeld can stay out of the box i see them having a good game. Duluth Marshall might think they have this one in the bag.

What players do you guys see making a difference?
I would say the goalies of course but beyond that I think Mahoney and the Denfeld defenseman have a big role.

Marshall takes another penalty for too many men on the ice?! Flaherty takes a timeout.

Fourth power play for Denfeld this period. Geez, Marshall is creating all kinds of problems with the Hunters' power play.

Power play ends with Skarman going to the box for Denfeld on a cross check penalty.

Apparently they haven't learned how to count to 6 with those quality private school educations...

Marshall on the power play and Denfeld is whistled for another penalty. Toppers now on a 5x3, Dane Peterson goes off for slashing. 1:23 left in the 3rd.

I should've gone up there tonight. :(

We're going to overtime!

Who's that guy doing the announcing on 560? He's doing a good job but I miss Fleisch and Hack. Image

Dunno, I just switched to it after the Edina-Tonka game. I'll see if I can find out.

Huh?? I go to the bathroom and Marshall scored?

Nice timing on that one!

3-2 final for the Toppers. Mausolf with the game winner in overtime.

SOG 35-20 for Marshall. Penalties were roughly even, six for Marshall, five for Denfeld.

Scoring for Marshall besides Mausolf was Morin and Rectenwald.

Scoring for Denfeld was Magnuson and Lundgren.

Mausolf shows he can help the team, I'm glad he's back on the team and doing well.
