virginia has no chance of winning. last game it could easily have been 8-1. jamnick (best player in the section) rarely missed three breakaways and hit the cross bar on the powerplay. virginia has 0 chance in my opinion

from my understanding the devils goalie had something to do with jammers break aways! so the whole 8-1 is a pipe dream. still think hibbing (jammer) is strong, but this game will not get out of hand.

Depending in which refs show up it could be a great game to attend at the Miners. Lustig has been doing great in net lately. So who knows, we will have to wait and see on Feburary 17th.

i believe it will be called tight off the bat, kids will settle down and play bisquit ! i hope devils come to play so its entertaining. hibbing will bring a croud, so it should be fun. jammer has a good game they WILL (Lustig) win.

I think Hibbing will win this game and lock up the #1 seed in the section!

The winner of this fight will be representing sec 7A at the X! Both these squads can and will do some damage at the big city. Good luck to you both.

It's gonna be loud, its gonna be rocken, its gonna be a dog fight. I'm really excited to watch this game but I think the Marshall/Virginia bout will have an impact on Virginia's play.

That Marshall/Virginia game is a full week before this rematch, I doubt it will impact Virginia with 7 days rest. Even if Virginia loses to Marshall, the IRC title (pending the Hibbing/GR result) will be on the line, so there will be something to play for - not that a rivarly like this even needs a reason for the players to get fired up.

Do you think there is a possibility of a sellout, the Virginia rink doesn't hold as many as Hibbing....

There is the possibility the IRC title will most likely be on the line and the 7A #1 seed. according to rinkfinder.com it holds 2500 and hibbing holds 3450 seating plus the standing behind the glass.

I thought Miners was either being re-done or some new arena was being built. But no doubt it will sell out. It doesn't take much and especially for an Iron Range Rivalry like this one.

Greenway is much improved and if you look at Virginia and Greenway the game was 3-2 Virginia in there first bout. And only 5-0 the other day. Hibbing's game could've been 5 or 6 to 0 also so comparing that is not so good.

Hibbing has scored 1 or less in five of their last eight games. They need to find a way to put the puck in the net. Virginia had a big win tonight at Duluth Marshall, and have won 14 out of their last 15 games. This is will be a fast-paced, highly emotional game with bragging rights and the top seed in 7A on the line.
Virginia 3
Hibbing 2
Final/Overtime

actually to me and to most 5-0 is a pretty solid victory in a hockey game, obviously can tell who controlled the game.

Hibbing is struggling, why? Not a good time being the sec games are around the corner. Devils have been hot, silencing some critics along the way.Hibbing listen up, start playing smart hockey or the only bus you'll see will be the Virginia Blue Devils on their way to the X.Can't wait till Tuesday. (17th)
