Don't think it'll be pretty for the Taters (I also said that before the Warroad game).

Well, there's at least 1 honest fan on this forum.

Spuds were good for so long it's hard to see them in their current state....any more Cullens around??

Moorhead and Centennial usually play each other very close......usually.
I dont see this happening on Saturday. Im being realistic.
Centennial by 4. Moorhead should be happy to finish the regular season above .500. A current record of 8-8-1 and games against Cent, Jefferson (ranked #1), Alexandria (class A ranking of #8?) and Hill Murray (already lost to them 7-0 in Schwanns cup. Remaining games at EGF, Brainerd home (won in ot) this year they will limp into section play most likey the #1 seed in Section 8AA. Really how bad is Section 8AA this year compared to previous years, well if you win the section and head to state it will most likley be two and out. But when you play a tough schedule you have to take the ups and downs that go with it. This year could be the worst record wise in 20 years......but always a threat (perhaps way outside) at upsetting some teams before sections.

Moorhead is down this year and even if they lose(which i think they will) this need 's to be a morale booster to show that they can at least compete with one of the best teams in the state.

Cougars-5
Spuds-2

Just when it looked like Centennial had established themselves, they pull out this.

How'd the game go? As even as it looked?

Wasn't there but heard both teams kept fightin and both had opportunities, i guess whoever wanted toe morale booster got it cuz moorhead proved they can play tough. I cant help but to think that Centennial let that last Edina game get to them and looked past the spuds

I was at the game. Both teams scored in the last minute of regulation, resulting in the tie. Moorhead outplayed Centennial when the teams were five on five. I believe Centennial scored three of their goals on the power play. These two teams are pretty even.

Looked very even. Both had good chances & played hard. Was fun game to watch. Spuds & Cougars have kept us well entertained over the years.
Spuds were up 2-0 in 1st, led 2-1 after 1.
Was tied at 3 in the 3rd, Cats got what everyone thought was the game winner with 29 seconds left. Taters pulled Marks & tied it with 00:01 on the clock. Couldn't ask for much more.

SPUDS!!

I was surprised to arrive at the game at the end of the first period and find Moorhead up 2-1. (I was lucky to get done with a prior engagement early enough to watch the last two periods) Both teams played evenly. The end of the second was 3-3. Moorhead somehow killed off a 5 on 3 for 1:45 in the begining of the third. Otherwise Centennial either has a very good Power play or Moorhead just didnt play well 5 on 4. Centennial scored the go ahead goal with 29 sec. left in regulation. Moorhead called a t.o. and pulled thier goalie and scored with 1 sec left in regulation. Game ended in a tie 4-4. Talked with a Centennial fan after the game and he said Centennial looked tired from the long drive. He also said Moorhead is much better than the 8-8 record they have. Great game too bad some Moorhead fans left after Centennial went up 4-3 late in the game.
