Best Coaches in each Section?

Let's hear somethings about those who led the young men in high school hockey? Who is the coach of the year in each section so far? Keep in mind success, consistency, development, and sportsmanship.

Ken Pauly from BSM 6AA
Great motivator, phenominal coach and great person. He is always willing to give interviews to people like MY Fox Hockey and is always classy in doing so. He is a great promoter for High School Hockey as a whole.

I think Wes Bolin needs to be mentioned . He has turned the entire woodbury program around. Not just at the high school level but for the youth.

How do you figure?
I agree he is good and has done a great job with the high school but how do you figure in the youth level? Don't you think just winning at the high school has been a boost, how about the amount of kids that woodbury has? Think that just figures in? The kids at the high school now were all at Bill Moore's PDP program when they were in squirts and peewees you don't think that figures in? What, Bolin sticks his head in the room and now you are all smarter? The guy came into a dream situation, a program with numbers and parents with deep pockets, you have a number of coaches with D1 and D3 playing experience. There are more kids in Woodbury playing hockey year round then ever, They didn't lose but a few kids to privates out of this group. The ride will slowly come to a halt once the new high school comes into play and Bolin leaves for greener pastures. Just wait for the Woodtick drama once kids have to leave for the new high school and one team wins more then the other. It will become another Rochester and tear itself apart for years to come.

as a metro guy, I've always been impressed by how LaRoque at G.R. can prep a team.

I agree. Even with less talent they consistently beat "better" teams and always come ready to play.

Bruce LaRoque gets my vote as the best coach is 7AA. He seems to be able to motivate average hockey players to play one step higher. He also seems to treat his players fairly. His handling of the transfer of the goalie from Greenway was very good.

Earlier in career at HA, that was not the case, especially in hearing from the Jefferson crowd... He has proven to be a good coach over the years...

Really? With the talent he has on his teams it can't be too hard to coach. That said he does seem like a nice guy and gives fairly good interviews on TV

Go figure, he coached in Bloomington, had a couple of kids go through the system and has been accused of recruiting some Bloomington lads along the way. Reason for some animosity?
Let's face it, the guy is one of the best high school coaches in the state.

Trebil is the best coach arguably in the state.
My others that I think deserve mentions are:
Ken Pauly
Wes Bolin
Bill Lechner
I dont feel like breaking it down by section, these are coaches that stand out in my mind when I have watched them or played against them. For me, Trebil was the coach I feared against most because I always knew I was about to have my coach get slaughtered in matching up lines.

Who gets the most out of what they have, and who runs the kind of program that kids want to play for, whether players are staying in their public school, or moving to a private?
