EP's performance in their loss to Edina I think makes them the favorite for now but this is a very tough section. I'm really interested to see how this one plays out.

Here is how I have it.

1. EP- Before the Edina game I was skeptical. Afterwards they are the clear cut favorite.
2. BSM- Despite the loss to Wayzata I still think that they play solid defense and have the best goltender in the state, Jacob Meyers who is very capable of stealing the seection for BSM.
3. Tonka- A few big wins and a close loss to BSM put them here. They have some offensive firepower which could be scary for EP or BSM in the semis.
4. Wayzata- Despite the win over BSM I really don't see a ton of offensive talent and I think that a lack of scoring will end up haunting them come section time.

As for the rest sorry, but I don't see it happening this year.

The section six winner will be truely have to play through some tough competition.

EP seems to be the favorite here. I think they will get the #1 seed if they can beat Jefferson and tie for the conference championship. They had a good win against Minnetonka, but it was early in their schedule. EP hasn't played BMS or Wayzata, but will play Hopkins in early Feb. They will need to beat at least two of these teams to get to State.

BSM has played a competive schedule, but lost a number of high profile players, but I think Meyers can steal a game somewhere in the section playoffs.

Same with Hopkins, I think Fons has the ability to dominate a game and get Hopkins to a semi or final game. Hopkins has one solid line.

I think the un tested team is Wayzata of this section. A solid team that has to play a Classic Lake schedule.

Each of these four teams will have an easy 1st round game and face each other in the last two games to get to State. I think the winner of Section 6 will be from goaltending and special team play.

I don't know. The way that Edina are cleaning up this year:

1. Edina
2. Nobody
3. Nobody
4. Nobody
5. BSM, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka

Oh yeah! I forgot about that. Sorry. It was too tempting to add Edina into that mix of names since they play each other so often.

You have left out Minnetonka in this section. There is no way that Hopkins will be rated higher then #5 in this section. Yes, a hot goalie can carry you in the sections but Hopkins just doesn't seem to be the team they were a year ago. #1-EP, #2-Wayzata, #3-BSM, #4-Minnetonka. I base this on their records and who has beaten who in head to head games. This obviously depends on what happens in the remaining regular season games but I am sure it will be a heated atmosphere when the coaches sit down and determine the section seedings.

The seedings in this section will be determined largely based on how Wayzata plays Minnetonka (2 upcoming games). If either dominates the winner will get #2 seed (or possibly #1 if EP stumbles).

This is how I see this.

1) Team Leddy
2) BSM
3) Tonka
4) Wayzata

EP is easily the favorite for the #1 seed in this section. With that said I'm not saying they are easily the favorite to win the section and advance to state because they usually slip up in sections a little bit. Don't be surprised to see a Benilde team surprise some people come time sections

there are really only 2 ways the top 4 seeding could finish for this section and it depends on the 2 tonka vs. wayzata games.

If wayzata wins at least 1 of those games with tonka the seeding will go as follows

1. EP
2. Wayzata
3. BSM
4. Minnetonka

If minnetonka wins both games the seedings will be

1. EP
2. BSM
3. Minnetonka
4. Wayzata
