One might say not putting it on the Minnesota Girls High School Hockey forum would be good for starters.

Cut TBone a little slack, they had to put it somewhere. The "youth" forum doesn't really care about girls hockey so at least on this thread people care about the girls.

You wanna have a conversation regarding the rankings of girls that are 10 years old? Maybe it's just me, but I see some issues with that.

Agreed. Wait until U12 before publicly ranking and judging them.

I understand the issue of the age since you are not supposed to publish records or scores until PW/12U. If you look on the youth forum there are always raging debates over traveling mites

and who is the best '99 player in the state

. I think TBone just wanted to be heard regarding the young girls. Hey... since you can't publish records, can we claim our 10U teams as undefeated?!?! The JM/L girls never play Benson-Morris so we can't compare them either

(no offense intended Mum).

These teams are playing each other so what's the harm... feel free to give your opinion...have a nice debate. But let's keep it where it belongs, in the youth forum.

Although I am sure the poster just wanted to debate this for fun, IMO, it represents one of the biggest problems with youth hockey which is games over practice. Parents are overly concerned about wins, losses, and points and not about fundamentals. I have seen enough U10 girls play to know they play far too many games compared to the number of times they practice. But again, this is just my opnion. BTW, most of those arguments about the best players and best teams on the youth hockey forum are started by kids.
